CHAR PACK

    The Char Park is the result of a group studio project where we were asked to create our own startup company idea. Living in Oregon and being aware of how climate change has worsened rapidly over the years, we wanted to support a community that has a tough job at times like this, firefighters, specifically wildland firefighters. Most wildland packs endeavor to address many needs at once: They must carry a certain set of tools, be comfortable enough to carry a load for miles over forest trails and be wear-able while digging. It must not wear out. With those (and more) considerations, the packs build on the history of backpacks past. We created Char Park with the intention of providing support to firefights all around the country with a backpack design that is reliable day in and day out, even in the harshest situation.
